Click to enlargeGarden tools such as lawn mowers, electrical trimmers and scythes, chain saws, hedge trimmers, pole pruners, scarifiers and the like are essential gardening implements. But unfortunately some of these apparatuses generate a considerable amount of noise that can be both disturbing and unhealthy.
In order for garden tools to qualify as eco-friendly, it also needs to be durable, repair-friendly and designed for recycling. For battery operated garden tools, an additional criterion for eco-friendliness is that the devices need to integrate low-emission and long-lasting rechargeable batteries, and replacement batteries need to be available.
The UBA’s motto, For our environment (“Für Mensch und Umwelt”), sums up our mission pretty well, we feel. In this video we give an insight into our work.
