Power-hungry refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines to disappear from the market

The EU Parliament is due to decide tomorrow (Wednesday) on more stringent standards in the energy efficiency of refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines. Climate protection: Greenhouse gas emissions in 2008 at their lowest since 1990

Compared to the previous year, total greenhouse gas emissions in Germany in 2008 were reduced by almost 12 million tonnes, which constitutes a decrease of around 1.2 percent.
