Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
in December 2015, COP21 resulted in a global agreement to combat climate change and the European Commission adopted the Circular Economy Package.
Both commitments will definitely have an impact on the EU member states.
A research study recently published by the German Environment Agency demonstrates the close ties between climate protection and circular economy highlighting the significant potential of the waste sector for greenhouse gas mitigation.
The President of the German Environment Agency (UBA) Maria KRAUTZBERGER likes to welcome you at a high-level panel to discuss how the EU28 can tap their full potential to mitigate climate change by an ambitious Circular Economy.
