Online Seminar: Circular Lifestyles, E-commerce and City centers

Online (via WebEx)

The NiCE project consortium is pleased to announce a new online seminar series focused on capacity building for bringing circular lifestyles from the niche into city centres.
The #4 online seminar will start on 3 April 2025 at 10 am with the topic of linking circular lifestyles, e-commerce and city centers for the benefit of all. The language of the seminar is English.

Join us for an insightful online seminar exploring the intersection of sustainable consumption, e-commerce and urban revitalization. Our expert speaker, Jan Christian Polanía Giese from adelphi, will provide valuable insights on why both on-site and online retail channels will continue to coexist, and share ideas on making e-commerce more ecological.

Furthermore, we will dive into practical experiences: First we hear from the NiCE project pilots in Germany and in Czechia. In Germany, NiCE is cooperating with the Zukunftshaus in Würzburg in order to test a green bicycle delivery service for items to rent. In Czechia, NiCE is cooperating with SILO in Jihlava and the Reuse Federation, to examine how artificial intelligence can help streamline operations of a reuse centre.

After that, we will get inspired by further real-world success stories: hear about Opravárna, an online network for repair shops, and Platoyo, an online marketplace that fuses local supply with digital demand, launching the Online City Wuppertal.

The session will include interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to discuss trends and potential solutions.
