The second PMT Workshop entitled "PMT and vPvM substances under REACH. Voluntary measures and regulatory options to protect the sources of drinking water" took place on the 13th-14th of March 2018 in Berlin. It was organized by UBA and the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI). Over 100 experts from 15 nations representing the water suppliers, chemical industry, academia and regulators attended. read more
The first PMT Workshop entitled "Evaluation of the relevance of substances to raw water in the context of the REACH regulation" took place in Dessau-Rosslau, Germany, on the 19th of January 2011 with 28 experts from water suppliers, water research institutes, universities and authorities. Between 2016 and 2019, the UBA carried out several public consultations to ensure a wide agreement on the PMT/vPvM criteria. This led to the publication of the result of the scientific and technical development of PMT/vPvM criteria and guidelines for their assessment under REACH, which were unveiled at the 30th Caracal meeting in 2019 (Doc. CACS/MS/19/2019; CARACAL-30; 01 - 02 July 2019). read more
