In the "EcoDesign Circle" project, an international team of design centres, authorities, research institutions and design practitioners have been working together since 2016 to raise awareness and practical application of the "design approach" for the circular economy throughout the Baltic Sea region. In the first three years, partners from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden organised exhibitions and workshops, offered consultancy and educational programmes and created networks.
EcoDesign Circle (2016-2019) and the follow-up project EcoDesign Circle 4.0 are projects under the Interreg programme for the Baltic Sea Region and are coordinated by UBA. "EcoDesign Circle 4.0" is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Russian Federation.
Interreg is an initiative of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and aims to promote cooperation between EU Member States and neighbouring non-EU countries. Among other things, the initiative also supports environmental protection projects.
