Onshore wind power potential greater than previously thought

More than one tenth of Germany's land surface is suited for wind turbines - without causing significant harm to sensitive protected areas or compromising noise protection laws.

These are the conclusions of a new UBA study. UBA's President Jochen Flasbarth says: "There is more space than we need. We only need to tap the potential that is necessary to reach our climate goals.“
