Energy-efficient redevelopment of urban areas in Lithuania | Umweltbundesamt

This project supported the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania in developing recommendations for programmes that shall increase the energy efficiency of urban areas or neighborhoods. Future measures should not focus on single buildings only, but take into account the whole urban area. As examples, three municipalities in Lithuania have developed integrated concepts for energy efficiency in urban areas. The leaflet “Integrated Strategies for Energy‐Efficient Urban Development – A brief manual“ can be of inspiration also for other countries.
