The time had come on 30 August 2013: UBA received the official key to its new office building at the Berlin-Marienfelde location after 20 months of construction. UBA hopes to showcase this project as a model of what future construction can be: technically sophisticated, attractive in design, user-friendly, accessible to people with disabilities, and good for the environment. “Haus 2019“ is a so-called zero-energy building which will cover all of the energy needs of its 31 staff members with its own solar power and a ground source heat pump system.
